Fallout franchise expands with new pinball machines and historical context

The Fallout franchise continues to expand through new media and historical industry developments. Stern Pinball has officially released three new pinball machines inspired by the Fallout universe, including the Fallout Pinball Pro, Premium, and a Limited Edition. Prices for these machines range from approximately $7,299 to $13,999, with the Limited Edition restricted to 770 units. The machines feature iconic elements such as Vault-Tec, Nuka-Cola, and Power Armor, utilizing audio from Fallout 3, Fallout 4, and Fallout: New Vegas.

Historically, the franchise's development was shaped by legal disputes between Bethesda and Interplay regarding the rights to a Fallout MMO. A 2012 out-of-court settlement prevented Interplay from launching a full Fallout MMO, a conflict that influenced the career paths of various developers and the eventual direction of the series, including titles like Fallout 76.
