Falmouth crowned UK's most beautiful harbour town in Telegraph ranking

The Telegraph’s list of Britain’s ten loveliest harbour towns placed Cornwall’s Falmouth at the top, ahead of St Ives and Padstow. The publication highlighted Falmouth’s vibrant maritime heritage, deep‑water harbour, historic Pendennis Castle and bustling fishing fleet as key reasons for the accolade.

Separately, consumer group Which? surveyed nearly 12,000 holidaymakers to rank the UK’s best seaside towns. Their results placed an unnamed town at the summit, with other highly rated locations including Southwold, Bude, St Davids, Portmeirion, Frinton‑on‑Sea, Crail and Aldeburgh.

Both rankings reflect growing domestic tourism and highlight a range of coastal destinations praised for scenery, beaches, heritage and visitor experience.
