Falun Dafa practitioners hold large-scale formation in Taipei

Approximately 5,000 Falun Dafa practitioners gathered at Liberty Square in Taipei on October 17, 2026, to hold a large-scale formation event and group exercise. The participants, including many from overseas, formed a massive visual display featuring the characters ‘Dafa’ and a giant lotus flower to convey the theme ‘Dafa Spreading Worldwide, Fruit of Lotus Completion.’

The event served as a precursor to a Falun Dafa experience sharing conference in Taiwan. Organizers and participants noted that the peaceful demonstration aims to showcase the principles of ‘Truthfulness, Compassion, and Forbearance’ and to raise awareness regarding the ongoing persecution of the practice in China.

Local leaders highlighted the importance of religious freedom in Taiwan, noting that many local government councils have passed proposals to support the safety of related cultural performances and to advocate for legislation against cross-border repression. International tourists and local residents observed the event, describing the large-scale, orderly formation as a significant display of faith and discipline.
