Falun World Ski Championship course profiles finalized

The course profiles for the upcoming Winter World Ski Championships in Falun have been finalized. The tracks consist of a blue and a red loop located near the stadium area, with the 50km race utilizing an 8.3-kilometer loop. Additionally, a sprint track will serve as the finish for all races.

Tobias Söderberg Jönsson, sports manager for the 2027 Falun World Championships, noted that course design is increasingly influenced by television requirements. Modern tracks are more compressed to allow for more mass-start coverage and multiple camera angles, which benefits spectators at the stadium and TV audiences but differs from the longer, more traditional terrain used in previous championships.
