Famalicao hosts FC Alverca in Liga Portugal clash

Famalicao and FC Alverca are set to face each other at the Estadio Municipal de Famalicao on Monday evening as part of the eighth round of the Liga Portugal campaign.

Famalicao enters the match following a 4-0 victory against Nacional, where Georgios Koutsias and Sorriso each scored twice. This result extended the team's unbeaten run in the league to four matches. Under head coach Carlos Carvalhal, the club currently sits 13th in the standings with seven points. However, the team faces selection challenges, as Romeo Beney is suspended and Tom van de Looi is expected to remain unavailable due to injury.

FC Alverca arrives with momentum after recording back-to-back victories, including a 1-0 win over Rio Ave secured by a goal from Dawda Camara. Alverca currently sits one point and three places ahead of Famalicao in the league standings.
