Famalicão coach praises resilience in 1-1 draw against Sporting CP

Famalicão coach Carlos Carvalhal praised his team’s resilience following a 1-1 draw against Sporting CP. Despite playing with ten men after the expulsion of Roméo Beney, Famalicão managed to secure a point in the sixth round of the league.

Carvalhal noted that while the team benefited from some luck, they earned the result through hard work and organization. He highlighted the team's ability to control the game without the ball during the first half and their “absolutely fantastic reaction” after conceding a penalty. Following the equalizer, the team remained organized despite Sporting's dominance in the second half.

With this result, Famalicão moves to 12th place in the standings with four points from six matches.
