Famiglie Storiche brings Amarone wine to Texas and California
The Famiglie Storiche association, representing thirteen wineries from the Valpolicella region, is conducting a promotional tour in the United States to showcase Amarone wine. The association will participate in the ‘TexSom’ event in Irving, Texas, on August 23 and 24, featuring as an exhibitor in the Expo Trade Tasting sessions.
Following the Texas events, the group will hold a masterclass and tasting session at the Fairmont San Francisco on August 26. The session, moderated by Paul Wagner of Napa Valley College, will focus on the various expressions of Amarone and the work of the thirteen member wineries.
This initiative comes amid a decline in Italian wine exports to the U.S. market. Between April 2025 and March 2026, the value of Italian wine exports to the United States fell by 17%, dropping from 1.99 billion to 1.65 billion euros, with a 9% decrease in volume.
