Families march in Córdoba seeking justice for alleged abuse at Villa Carlos Paz kindergarten

Families and activists held a demonstration known as ‘La Marcha de los Pintorcitos’ in Córdoba to demand justice regarding 13 allegations of sexual abuse at the Jardín del Niño Dios in Villa Carlos Paz. The march began at Patio Olmos and proceeded toward the Córdoba Cathedral and the Archbishopric, seeking to highlight the role of church authorities in the investigation.

The protesters are calling for the formal indictment of priest Alejandro Nicola, who served as the parish priest of the church associated with the kindergarten. The demonstration follows news that the Catholic Church has initiated a preliminary canonical investigation to report to the Vatican.

In the judicial process, a psychological evaluation for Nicola has been rescheduled for October 13 at 12:00 PM at Tribunales II. This evaluation had previously been suspended in September following a defense claim regarding the priest's mental state.
