Family Baby School in Tropea reopens after seizure

The Family Baby School in Tropea has officially reopened following a month-long seizure by the Vibo Valentia Prosecutor's Office. The closure was initiated following the death of 18-month-old Alessio Pio Coppolino on July 22 at a hospital in Catanzaro.

Health inspections conducted by the Asp Department of Prevention on the school's environment and food supplies returned negative results, leading to the decision to lift the seizure. During the initial investigation, other children who attended the facility had reported gastrointestinal issues, some requiring precautionary hospitalization.

While the school has resumed operations, judicial investigations into the cause of the child's death are ongoing. The school's director, Serena Miceli, stated that the institution has cooperated fully with authorities and expressed gratitude to the families for their continued trust.
