Family businesses in Brazil utilize multi-generational leadership for succession

Family-led businesses in Brazil are increasingly utilizing multi-generational collaboration to manage succession and drive growth. At Grupo LD, founder Luiz Donizety and his son Lucas Mascarin share leadership, transitioning the company from its origins in Stand Show—a specialist in exhibition stands—into a broader group encompassing visual communication and event production.

Other prominent Brazilian companies are also integrating heirs into strategic roles. At the pharmaceutical company Cimed, president João Adibe Marques works with three of his children across commercial, ESG, and marketing sectors. The food services group Sapore features founder Daniel Mendez working alongside three children in technology, operations, and new acquisitions. Additionally, at Suzano, David Feffer and his daughter Gabriela Feffer Moll serve on the board of directors, and at Luft Logistics, Luciano Luft collaborates with his sons on digital logistics innovation.
