Family Development Foundation launches national charter for Emirati women

The Family Development Foundation has launched the ‘Following in the Footsteps of the Mother of the Nation’ charter to mark Emirati Women’s Day. Directed by Her Highness Sheikha Fatima bint Mubarak, the initiative serves as a national charter designed to empower Emirati women and develop human potential.

The charter is built upon eight national commitments that serve as pillars for the Emirati women’s journey. These commitments include embracing national identity and authentic Emirati values, striving for excellence in education, work, and innovation, and contributing to the nation’s comprehensive development and global competitiveness.

Additionally, the charter emphasizes the importance of family stability and social cohesion, advocating for a balance between professional aspirations and societal responsibilities. It also focuses on strengthening intergenerational bonds by drawing on the wisdom and experience of senior citizens to ensure the sustainability of national gains.
