Family events scheduled in Denmark for early September

Various family-oriented events are scheduled in Denmark for the weekend of September 5-6.

Birkegårdens Haver is hosting Children's Animal Days, featuring a variety of animals including ferrets, king boas, cockroaches, and lizards. The event includes a private pet exhibition and family activities such as treasure hunts, ATV riding, and competitions like chicken poop hunting and stick horse racing.

In Hvidovre, the wooden troll sculpture Bakketop Trine, created by artist Thomas Dambo, is celebrating its 10th anniversary. As part of Nature's Day, Naturcenter Quark will host free family activities, including catching small animals in a lake and campfire building, with cake being served at 12:30. The celebration is part of the 'Six Forgotten Giants' project, which encourages people to explore local nature.
