Family & Nursing Care Foundation awards $60,000 in home care grants

The Family & Nursing Care Foundation, a fund of the Greater Washington Community Foundation, has awarded $60,000 in grants to local nonprofit organizations to support lower-income older adults. The funding is distributed equally, with $20,000 each going to Home Care Partners, Community Reach of Montgomery County, and the Jewish Social Service Agency (JSSA). These grants are expected to provide more than 7,000 hours of home care services.

Additionally, the Foundation is investing in the caregiving profession through a $50,000 scholarship fund established in partnership with Montgomery College. This fund provides $10,000 in annual scholarships to students pursuing their Certified Nursing Assistant (CNA) license.
