Family of Annalyse Blyton campaigns for dog attack law reforms

One year after the fatal dog attack of 17-year-old Annalyse Blyton in Singleton, her family is campaigning for legislative reform. The family has launched the ‘Pink for Leasy’ campaign to advocate for improved enforcement, education, and accountability regarding pet ownership laws.

Stepmother Naomi Benson is scheduled to meet with New South Wales Local Government Minister Ron Hoenig to push for meaningful changes. Benson expressed frustration over the lack of clarity regarding penalties for irresponsible owners, noting that her research into coronial inquiries since 2019 shows consistent recommendations for tougher penalties and increased community awareness.
