Family of Bharada Valdo alleges multiple suspects in police officer's murder

The family of Bharada Laurentius Valdo Fernandez Lewai is calling for a thorough investigation into his death at the Ditpoludara Korpolairud Baharkam Polri headquarters in Pondok Cabe, South Tangerang. The victim, an administrative staff member, sustained serious injuries, including gunshot wounds and injuries from sharp weapons.

Lawyer Petrus Bala Pattyona suggested that multiple individuals may be involved in the killing, noting that the victim was struck by various weapons. The family is seeking clarity on the full chronology and motives behind the incident.

Initial reports indicate the incident occurred on Friday, October 16, 2026, and may have stemmed from personal issues between the victim and the suspect, Bharada Andika Rahmadani. The suspect reportedly claimed he felt bullied by the victim and had been carrying a machete out of fear. The suspect allegedly took a firearm from a guard post before attacking the victim in a fire station room.
