Family of Domenico Racanati demands action in Trigno River search
The family of Domenico ‘Mino’ Racanati, a 53-year-old fisherman from Bisceglie, has issued an urgent appeal to authorities regarding the search for him following a bridge collapse on the Trigno River on April 2.
Five months after the incident, his body has not been recovered. Family members, including his wife Vanessa and siblings Marisa and Alessandro, expressed frustration over delays in the search process. They noted that while metallic masses potentially linked to his vehicle were found in the river on June 5, the operation has stalled due to bureaucratic procedures, the discovery of wartime explosives, and the time required to secure a specialized dredging company.
The family is demanding a definitive date for the river dredging to resume, stating they can no longer accept vague promises or indefinite waiting periods.
