The family of Loan Danilo Peña, a five-year-old boy who disappeared on June 13, 2024, in a rural area of 9 de Julio, Corrientes, has released an open letter addressed to the child. The message was shared during the feast of the Virgin of Mercy, coinciding with the ongoing oral trial regarding his disappearance.

In the letter, his parents and siblings described the profound emotional impact of his absence, noting how daily life remains frozen. They expressed the ongoing anguish of the household, stating that the child’s chair remains empty and his belongings are kept exactly as he left them. The family highlighted the national solidarity they have received from various provinces and the spontaneous mobilizations in support of the search.

The family concluded the message by affirming their commitment to finding him, stating, “We are not going to stop until the earth itself tells us where you are.”
