Family offers GH¢50,000 reward for info on Tema Motorway death

The family of Ivan Baidoo, a Level 200 law student at Central University, is offering a GH¢50,000 reward for information leading to the arrest and prosecution of those responsible for his death.

Baidoo died on August 27, 2026, following a crash on the Tema Motorway. While initial reports described the incident as a hit-and-run, the family has alleged that a police vehicle may have been pursuing the motorcycle Baidoo was riding as a passenger at the time of the accident.

The family is calling for eyewitnesses or anyone with video footage of the incident to come forward, promising strict confidentiality for informants. As of current reports, the Ghana Police Service has not issued a public statement regarding the allegations of a police pursuit being involved in the crash.
