Balkan region hosts diverse cultural and culinary festivals

Various cultural, culinary, and artistic festivals are taking place across the Balkans. In Drvar, the 25th anniversary of the ‘Dani drvarske drenjine’ event celebrated local cornelian cherry traditions, attracting approximately 2,000 visitors and 50 exhibitors.

In Serbia, Zaječar hosted the 4th International Folklore Festival ‘Balkan širi kolo kraj Timoka’, featuring over a thousand performers from Serbia and Bulgaria. Meanwhile, in Croatia, the 21st DOKUart documentary film festival opened in Bjelovar, showcasing 13 films, including several Croatian premieres.

Other notable events include the 3rd Dunav Wine Festival in Ilok, focusing on Slavonian and Danube wines, and the 2nd Međimurski Oktoberfest in Nedelišće. Additionally, several regions are hosting ‘Children’s Week’ programs in Nova Gradiška and Petrinja, offering educational and creative activities for youth.
