Family seeks donations for child's leukemia treatment in Belém

The family of an 8-year-old girl named Sarah is seeking donations to fund her ongoing treatment for B-cell lymphoblastic leukemia. Originally from the Bailique Archipelago in Amapá, the family moved to Belém to access specialized care at the Hospital Ophir Loyola.

Due to financial constraints and strict residency rules at local support houses, which limit occupants to the patient and only one or two companions, the family has been unable to find stable accommodation. They are currently residing in Marituba thanks to the help of a private individual. The mother, Erika Marques, noted that her husband is unable to work because they lack a local support network to care for their three children.

The family is accepting donations via Pix, as well as food baskets, clothing, and footwear, to help cover medical and living expenses.
