Family violence and property disputes reported in Venezuela and Mexico

Two separate incidents of domestic and family-related conflict have been reported in Venezuela and Mexico.

In Isla Apurito, Venezuela, a 51-year-old woman and her young children were left homeless after her sisters allegedly demolished her house on August 12. The incident stems from a dispute over land inheritance. The victim claims her late father had previously delimited the land and assigned her the specific plot where her home stood, but her sisters reportedly refused to recognize this decision and destroyed the structure.

In Bahía de Banderas, Mexico, a man reported being a victim of domestic violence alongside his minor children. The Municipal Institute for Women (IMMUJER) provided institutional support, accompanying the man and his children to the Women's Justice Center. A formal complaint for family violence has been filed, and protective measures have been granted to ensure the safety of the victims.
