Family violence incidents reported in Mexico's Nuevo León and Tamaulipas

In Santa Catarina, Nuevo León, a 33‑year‑old man identified as José Luis Hernández Alvarado is accused of violently assaulting his 53‑year‑old uncle, Juan Edgar Alvarado Martínez, during a dispute on July 11. The attack caused a deep skull contusion, broken ribs and a dislocated jaw. Juan Edgar was hospitalized at IMSS Clinic 33 and died on July 17. Police have opened an investigation and are seeking the suspect, who remains at large.

In Nuevo Laredo, Tamaulipas, a father identified as José Abraham “M” is alleged to have repeatedly struck his one‑year‑old daughter and thrown an object that caused a severe bump on her forehead. The infant is currently hospitalized. The State Attorney General’s Office has filed a criminal case and is searching for the alleged perpetrator.
