Japan hosts various autumn food and cultural festivals

Various seasonal food and cultural events are scheduled across Japan for late September 2026.

FamilyMart is launching its annual ‘Sweet Potato Harvest Festival’ on September 22, featuring 14 different products. The lineup includes items such as caramel-flavored Beni Haruka croissants, sweet potato canelés, and specialized ice cream.

Local community events include the ‘Fruit Market’ at LaLaport EXPOCITY from September 21 to 23, showcasing seasonal fruits and limited-edition sweets. In Toyohashi, the ‘Toyohashi Riverside Festival vol. 02’ will take place on September 26 at Toyohashi Park, featuring music, light displays, and over 80 food and market stalls.

Other regional activities include a variety market at Enichi-KOMINKA in Ikeda City on September 26-27, a craft and goods market at Michi-no-Eki Pia 21 Shihoro on September 26-27, and the ‘Eki-one 2026’ event in Odate City on September 20 aimed at revitalizing the area near JR Odate Station.
