Family‑style ramen chains expand in Japan with new Nebaa shop and Ikakuya discount day

A new ramen shop called Nebaa will open in the Toward River (向河原) station‑area shopping district in Japan in autumn 2026. The shop is run by a former six‑year apprentice of the renowned Yokohama family‑style ramen restaurant Suzukiya (寿々㐂家) and will serve the classic pork‑bone soy broth with mid‑thick noodles from Sakai Noodle.

On July 31 2026, the ramen chain Ikakuya is holding a special “Ikakuya Day” across most of its locations, offering the standard soy‑ or salt‑flavored ramen for 760 yen. The promotion runs from opening until 18:00 and excludes a long list of stores such as Shimo‑Kita‑zawa, Gakusei‑Daigaku, and others, while related branches like Yokohama‑Michi, Chigasaki‑Ie, Kichijoji‑Ie and Noda‑Ie also participate.
