Famous families showcase legacies in sports and music

Various prominent families in sports and the arts demonstrate traditions where children follow in their parents' professional footsteps.

In the sporting world, Edinho followed footballer Pelé by becoming a goalkeeper for Santos FC and later a coach. In motorsports, Mick Schumacher is pursuing a career in racing, having competed in Formula 1 and currently driving in the World Endurance Championship. In volleyball, Bruninho, a prominent setter, achieved Olympic success under the guidance of his father, renowned coach Bernardinho.

In the music industry, several Brazilian families maintain strong artistic legacies. The Gil family, led by Gilberto Gil, includes children such as Nara Gil, Bem Gil, and José Gil, who have all pursued musical careers, some collaborating in the band Gilsons. Similarly, the Veloso family features sons Moreno, Zeca, and Tom Veloso, who have each developed distinct musical identities while occasionally performing alongside their father, Caetano Veloso. Almir Sater's son, Gabriel Sater, has also followed his father's path in music.
