Fan Expo Dallas draws crowds despite convention center construction

Fan Expo Dallas recently took place at the Kay Bailey Hutchison Convention Center in downtown Dallas, despite significant portions of the facility being unavailable due to ongoing construction. The demolition and redevelopment of part of the center are reportedly intended to accommodate new freeway developments and Dallas Area Rapid Transit (DART) rail lines.

Despite the reduced space, the event hosted approximately 60,000 attendees. The convention featured various celebrity appearances, including actor Mel Gibson, who participated in autograph sessions, photo opportunities, and an interview panel.
