Fanaka International University and GISI sign MoU for finance training

Fanaka International University College and the Ghana Investment and Securities Institute (GISI) have signed a Memorandum of Understanding (MoU) to enhance finance education and professional training in Ghana.

The partnership aims to integrate professional capital market training into Fanaka’s Master of Science (MSc) Finance programme. By aligning the academic curriculum with GISI’s standards, the collaboration seeks to bridge the gap between academic theory and industry practice, potentially providing students with pathways toward professional licensing and exemptions.

Professor Samuel Agyei-Ampomah, Rector of Fanaka International University College, noted that the agreement will provide students and faculty with access to insights regarding emerging asset classes, corporate governance, and digital financial frameworks. Alexander Williams, CEO of GISI, stated that the collaboration promotes curriculum benchmarking and closer engagement between academia and the securities industry to ensure graduates meet current job market demands.
