Fanatec and Trak Racer unveil new hardware at SimRacing Expo 2026

At the SimRacing Expo 2026, Fanatec and Trak Racer showcased several new hardware developments. Fanatec revealed a prototype for ‘Project Obsidian’, an upcoming steering wheel planned for 2027. The wheel features a 5-inch LCD display under a single glass panel, RGB-lit buttons, and illuminated rotary switches. Notably, it is Fanatec’s first wheel designed with SimHub support, allowing telemetry data to be received via USB or Wi-Fi.

Other Fanatec reveals include the ClubSport Formula V3 Oracle Red Bull Racing wheel, which features a 2.7-inch OLED display and forged carbon components, and a home-user version of the ClubSport Formula Cockpit. The company also launched the Podium Pedals Sport, a two-pedal setup.

Trak Racer presented a variety of products, including two TRZ Motorcycle Simulators, licensed racing cockpits from Porsche, Alpine, and Aston Martin, and Hot Wheels-branded setups. Their display also featured an Airbus TR550 flight cockpit and a dedicated truck simulator.
