Fanatec investigates GT DD Pro issues in Gran Turismo 7

Fanatec is investigating reports of technical issues affecting GT DD Pro wheel bases following the release of Gran Turismo 7 update 1.71. Users have reported various malfunctions, including sudden loss of force feedback, unexpected shutdowns during races, and steering wheels spinning to full lock or behaving erratically.

The issues appear to be linked to the activation of FullForce, a high-frequency force feedback system designed to provide fine details like surface textures. The update, released around August 20, 2026, overhauled physics and introduced FullForce support for the DD Pro, but the interaction between the new software and hardware has caused stability problems for some players.

As an interim precaution, Fanatec recommends that users reduce the FullForce strength (the FUL setting in the Tuning Menu) to below 100. If problems persist, users are advised to turn the setting off entirely. Fanatec has requested that customers experiencing these issues contact their support team with their firmware version and specific tuning settings.
