Fandango Fronterizo celebrates 18 years of Mexican tradition

The XVIII Fandango Fronterizo will take place from September 10 to 12, bringing together communities from Tijuana and San Diego through music, dance, and poetry. The event focuses on son jarocho and Mexican traditions, aiming to strengthen cultural ties across the border.

Activities include workshops at the Centro Cultural Tijuana (CECUT) on September 10 and 11, with a main celebration scheduled for September 12 at the Faro de Playas de Tijuana. The event expects up to 500 attendees and will feature musical groups such as Son Ellas, Mujeres Sonando, the Tijuana Fandango Collective, and the San Diego Somos la Voz Collective.
