Fanny Ardant to perform in Messolonghi for 200th anniversary

French actress Fanny Ardant will perform at the historic Garden of Heroes in Messolonghi to commemorate the 200th anniversary of the ‘Exodus of Messolonghi’. The event is dedicated to themes of freedom and poetry.

During the evening, Ardant will recite selected poems in French by authors including Victor Hugo, Dionysios Solomos, and Lord Byron. The initiative is a collaboration between the Athens Epidaurus Festival, the Municipality of the Holy City of Messolonghi, and the French Institute of Greece, held under the auspices of the French Embassy in Greece.

The performance is part of the Athens Epidaurus Festival’s new axis titled ‘EXODOS’ (Outside the Walls), which aims to expand the festival's reach through site-specific actions and performances in diverse locations.
