Fanny Rodrigues discusses immigrant identity on SIC

During an interview on the SIC program ‘Casa Feliz’, Fanny Rodrigues discussed her experiences living as an immigrant. Rodrigues, who spent 19 years living in Switzerland, reflected on the sense of displacement often felt by those living between two countries.

Rodrigues described the immigrant experience as a “double-edged sword,” noting that individuals often feel they do not fully belong to either their country of origin or their new home. Despite this, she stated that her heart and home remain in Portugal.
