Fano announces port infrastructure funding and business subsidies
The city of Fano is implementing significant infrastructure and economic development measures. Regional Councilor Giacomo Bugaro recently visited the city to discuss port interventions and coastal redevelopment. The Marche Region has already allocated 2.5 million euros for dredging operations, with work scheduled to begin in 2027. Additional focus is being placed on the redevelopment of the canal port and the Lisippo promenade, projects intended for inclusion in new European programming.
Simultaneously, the municipal administration has launched a record 400,000 euro support package for local commerce, craftsmanship, and food services. Funded by ASET profits and developed with local trade associations, the initiative is split into two 200,000 euro streams. One stream provides grants of up to 20,000 euros to existing businesses that have experienced a revenue loss of at least 20%. The second stream offers up to 25,000 euros to encourage new businesses to open or relocate to the historic center, provided they maintain operations for a minimum period.
