Fano Carnival announces 2027 dates and new management model

The Fano Carnival has announced its schedule for 2027, with parades set for January 31, February 7, and February 14. The event is transitioning to a new organizational model to better align with Third Sector regulations.

Under the new structure, the Ente Carnevalesca will register as a Social Promotion Association (APS). This change ensures a clear distinction between the institutional role of the Municipality of Fano and the organizational autonomy of the association. While the Municipality will no longer be a legal member of the Ente Carnevalesca, it will maintain full institutional, cultural, and strategic oversight.

The management of the carnival will be developed through a public co-design process involving one or more Third Sector entities. This shared administration model aims to combine professional expertise and volunteerism to preserve the carnival's historical traditions, such as papier-mâché craftsmanship and allegorical floats, while increasing its sustainability and attractiveness.
