Fano: Cyclist seriously injured in collision with concrete barrier

A 55-year-old cyclist was seriously injured in Fano after colliding with a concrete barrier on a pedestrian and cycle path connecting via Fanella to the Centinarola area. The individual was riding a racing bicycle when the collision occurred, causing him to be thrown several meters onto the asphalt.

Emergency responders deployed the Icaro air ambulance to transport the man to the Torrette regional hospital in Ancona. While his condition is reported as serious, he is not believed to be in life-threatening danger.
