Fano dedicates Parco delle Rose to Giacomo Cesaretti

The Parco delle Rose in Fano has been officially dedicated to the memory of Giacomo Cesaretti. The dedication took place on what would have been his 30th birthday.

Cesaretti, who was born in 1996, worked at the company Polver until he tragically died following a workplace accident on April 5, 2023, at the age of 26. The initiative to name the park after him was driven by a community mobilization that gathered 481 signatures from friends, family, and acquaintances.

Mayor Luca Serfilippi stated that the dedication serves to keep Cesaretti’s name known and to highlight the human cost of workplace fatalities, emphasizing that safety must be a shared responsibility. The city's toponomastic commission supported the request, recognizing its value as a testament to the victims of occupational accidents.
