Fano stages 'Il libro della Giungla' family theater show on Aug 11
The theater group Gruppo Panta Rei will present "Il libro della Giungla" at the Corte Malatestiana in Fano on Tuesday, 11 August. The production, which won the 2023 Otello Sarzi prize, is part of the "Corte in Scena" program and is co‑produced by the Fondazione Teatro della Fortuna together with the Comune di Fano and the local transport authority AMAT.
Based on Rudyard Kipling’s novel, the show combines live digital imagery with stage performance to create an interactive experience. The story follows Mowgli, the boy raised by wolves, as he confronts the tiger Shere Khan. The text is by Barbara Scalco, directed by Paolo Bergamo, with a cast that includes Matilde Sgarbossa, Davide Lazzaretto, Marco Mattiazzo and Davide Stocchero. Scenography and puppets are by Damiano Zanchetta, lighting by Davide Stocchero, costumes by Caterina Riccomini and music by Leonardo Tosini. The performance begins at 21:30 and tickets are available through the Teatro della Fortuna box office and Vivaticket.
