Fano State Police rescue lost dog at Esino Est service area

The Fano State Police rescued a lost dog that was wandering dangerously among vehicles at the Esino Est service area. The animal's presence between parking areas and roadways posed a risk to both the dog and motorists.

Officers on patrol secured the animal using a leash found at the scene. Following the rescue, veterinary personnel scanned the dog's microchip to identify the owner. The dog, which appeared to be in good health, has been taken to a veterinary facility in Jesi to await reunification with its owner.
