Fano's Hotel Vittoria site redevelopment moves forward
Entrepreneur Claudio Gabellini has signed a preliminary purchase agreement for the former Hotel Vittoria site at Lido in Fano. The area has remained inactive for more than thirty years.
Local business associations, including Confesercenti Fano and Confcommercio, have expressed strong support for the move. They view the redevelopment as a critical step toward transforming Fano into a year-round tourist destination, reducing the city's heavy reliance on seasonal summer tourism.
Luciano Cecchini, president of the hoteliers' association, noted that the investment signals economic vitality in the city. Barbara Marcolini of Confcommercio added that while the new hotel is necessary for growth, the preservation of local infrastructure and parking remains important.
