Fantasy Premier League Gameweek 8: Team News and Strategy

Fantasy Premier League (FPL) managers are preparing for Gameweek 8, with the deadline set for Friday, 23 October, at 18:30 BST. Key player availability and injury concerns are shaping team selection and chip strategies.

Erling Haaland is currently flagged with a 75% injury doubt ahead of Manchester City’s match against Aston Villa, leading experts to advise against using the Triple Captain chip this week. In contrast, Chelsea players like Neto and Joao Pedro are highlighted as strong options for the upcoming fixture against Tottenham Hotspur.

Injury updates from various Premier League clubs include Arsenal’s Piero Hincapie returning to individual training but remaining unavailable for the midweek Champions League tie, while William Saliba and Christos Tzolis remain sidelined. Aston Villa faces depth issues with Aaron Wan-Bissaka, Matteo Ruggeri, and Amadou Onana all dealing with injuries.
