World Food Forum 2026 opens in Rome to transform agrifood systems
The 2026 World Food Forum (WFF) has commenced at the Food and Agriculture Organization (FAO) headquarters in Rome, running from October 8 to 16. Under the theme “Innovate Today. Nourish Tomorrow,” the event gathers global leaders, scientists, and youth to address challenges in agrifood systems, including climate change, biodiversity loss, and food security.
FAO Director-General Qu Dongyu emphasized the necessity of investing in human capital, particularly women and youth, to drive sustainable innovation.
