Far Eastern Garden City prepares for trial operations near Taipei Dome

The Far Eastern Garden City shopping complex, located adjacent to the Taipei Dome, is preparing for trial operations. Spanning 36,000 ping with over 560 brands, the development represents a major strategic move for Far Eastern Sogo to reclaim market dominance in Taipei.

Sogo’s strategy focuses on high-efficiency retail sectors, specifically cosmetics and sportswear. The mall features a massive beauty zone with over 50 brands and an 8-meter-high perfume fountain. To drive foot traffic, the complex has allocated 30% of its area to dining, featuring three distinct tiers: mass-market food courts, floor-specific restaurants, and a dedicated Michelin-star dining hall.

Retail brands are also utilizing the new location for expansion. LocknLock has launched its first department store counter at Garden City as part of a broader push into major shopping districts, offering interactive experience zones and new product lines.
