Far-right political shifts impact Europe and Latin America

Europe has experienced a significant political shift toward the far-right, involving nations such as Denmark, Norway, Switzerland, Hungary, Poland, Italy, Sweden, the Netherlands, and France. This ideological movement is attributed largely to massive migration from Asia and Africa, as well as the promotion of neoliberal economic policies that conflict with the European Union’s principles of a social welfare state.

In Latin America, the shift toward the far-right is linked to changes in United States foreign policy. This political trend has extended to several countries, including Colombia, Chile, Ecuador, El Salvador, Paraguay, Argentina, Panama, Bolivia, and Costa Rica.
