Faraday Future humanoid robot tested in Brooklyn Bridge Park

An AI-powered humanoid robot, designed by California-based company Faraday Future, was recently observed interacting with the public in Brooklyn Bridge Park. The $89,000 robot was operated by Chief Technology Officer Hong Rao as part of a development phase aimed at teaching the machine to “interact” and “nurture.”

According to its developers, the robot is in a learning stage, utilizing real-world human interactions to improve its intelligence, movement, and navigation. The long-term goal for the technology is to enable the robot to serve as a companion, teacher, or babysitter. During its time in the park, the robot engaged with parkgoers by dancing, singing to children, and posing for photographs.
