Faraday Future pivots to Physical AI with $200M robotics business deal
Faraday Future Intelligent Electric Inc. (FFAI) is undergoing a strategic shift toward Physical AI and robotics. The company has entered into a non-binding term sheet for a proposed all-stock acquisition of its EAI robotics business by FF EAI Robotics Ecosystem Inc. (formerly AIxCrypto Holdings, Inc.), which is listed on the Nasdaq. The transaction values the robotics business and related assets at approximately $200 million.
If the deal is completed, FF EAI Robotics will become a wholly owned subsidiary of FFR, creating a dedicated public-market platform for robotics deployment. FFAI is expected to maintain control and consolidate the subsidiary into its financial statements.
In tandem with these structural changes, Faraday Future reported record sales for its EAI robotics devices. In September, the company shipped 265 units, bringing the third-quarter total to 575. Since February, cumulative shipments have reached 817 units. This growth aligns with the company’s broader goal to transition from a pure electric vehicle manufacturer to an ecosystem encompassing robotaxis, smart cabins, and physical AI solutions.
