Faraday Future Secures $25 Million to Fund Robotics and AI Pivot
California‑based Faraday Future announced a $25 million financing through convertible promissory notes, half of which will be placed in investor‑controlled accounts and released only after undisclosed conditions are met. The new capital, added to a $45 million raise in April, brings total funding over the past two months to $70 million and is intended to support Phase I of the company’s embodied‑AI robotics strategy through the end of 2026.
The financing underpins Faraday Future’s shift from electric vehicles to a physical‑AI business that will deliver humanoid and bionic robots for education, security inspection, reception, performance and university research, with a full‑year shipment target of 1,500 units. The company also noted the conclusion of an SEC investigation with no enforcement action, allowing it to move from short‑term liquidity‑driven financing to a longer‑term capital‑structure approach.
Key points: $12.5 million will go directly to operating accounts; the remaining $12.5 million is held in control accounts pending condition fulfillment. Faraday Future describes the raise as a turning point that eases near‑term runway pressure and supports its “AI‑first” ecosystem of devices, data and open‑source developer platforms.
