Faraday Future shareholders approve private placement to fund EAI robotics
Faraday Future has announced the results of its special shareholder meeting held on August 12, where shareholders approved a proposal for a private placement of common stock. This move is linked to a $25 million financing completion and is part of a larger $70 million funding effort over a two-month period. The capital is intended to support the first phase of the company’s EAI (Embodied AI) robotics strategy.
The company is transitioning toward becoming a “physical AI ecosystem company,” focusing on the mass production and delivery of humanoid, quadruped, and wheeled-arm robots. Faraday Future utilizes a “one brain, multiple forms” strategy, using a unified EAI brain to power various customized robot bodies for applications in industry, security inspection, hospitality, entertainment, and education.
On the commercial front, Faraday Future reported that its robotics business has moved from the launch phase into revenue generation and scene verification. In July, the company achieved a record 152 units in sales and shipments, bringing the year-to-date total to 394 units as of the end of July. The company is currently working toward an annual shipment goal of 2,000 units.
