Farah Khan reveals AR Rahman composed ‘Masakali’ for Om Shanti Om

Director and choreographer Farah Khan revealed that the song ‘Masakali’ was originally composed by AR Rahman for her film ‘Om Shanti Om’. During a recent YouTube vlog at the farmhouse of music director Vishal Dadlani, Khan shared that she had initially approached Rahman for the film's music before the duo Vishal-Shekhar was eventually hired.

Khan noted that ‘Masakali’ was the first song Rahman created for the project, though she was unsure of where to place it at the time. The track was ultimately used in Rakeysh Omprakash Mehra’s film ‘Delhi-6’ instead.
