Farah Touzani wins Taekwondo gold at World Open in China

Moroccan taekwondo athlete Farah Touzani has won the gold medal in the under-46kg category at the Women's World Open Championship held in China. The 19-year-old, currently ranked 12th globally, secured the title after a series of five consecutive victories against high-ranking opponents.

During her campaign, Touzani defeated several notable athletes, including the world number one, Milana Pikulova of Russia, and the sixth-ranked Chinese athlete, Yi Xiaoting, in the semifinals. In the final match, she defeated China's Shi Wang with a score of two rounds to one.

The victory is significant for Olympic qualification, as the championship awards 40 points toward the Olympic ranking, equivalent to the points earned at continental championships.
