Fare Verde Bitonto participates in Sammichele di Bari Agricultural Fair

The environmental association Fare Verde Bitonto participated in the 8th edition of the Sammichele di Bari Agricultural Fair, held from October 23 to 25. Working alongside other local groups from the Bari province, the organization hosted a stand focused on sustainability and biodiversity.

Volunteers distributed environmental campaign information, ecological gadgets, and self-produced seedlings to visitors. The event included a visit from Senator Maria Nocco and a delegation from the Senegal-based FORMA project.

A central feature of the fair was the conference titled ‘Cultivating the future, caring for the territory,’ held on October 25. The discussion addressed the intersection of agriculture, the environment, and prevention strategies for a more sustainable territory. Loris Daddato, a National Councilor for Fare Verde, opened the session by highlighting the relationship between agriculture and the environment, specifically noting the current challenges facing southern Italian agriculture.
